Short Documentary on MASS MoCA Commission Selected for Two International Film Festivals

The short documentary Painting to Scale has been selected for screening at the Independent Film Festival Boston in late April and Berkshire International Film Festival in late May. The film follows painter Barbara Prey as she undertakes the unprecedented challenge of creating the world's largest known watercolor painting for MASS MoCA's Building 6.  The painting marks the raw industrial space before its transformation into a contemporary museum space. At 8 by 15', it's not only the largest watercolor, but a stunning visual meditation on space, stillness, and transformation.  Composer Todd Reynolds scored the film with musical contributions by Gregg August.
